About

Pearly Drops’ third full-length, The Voices Are Coming Back, is a surreal, emotionally charged descent through an imagined Los Angeles, viewed through a distinctly Lynchian lens. Conceived as a work of autofiction, the album blends fantasy and internal chaos with dream logic, exploring themes of ambition, burnout, and disillusionment. Written, produced, and mixed entirely by the duo, it unravels like a sun-drenched hallucination—part Hollywood fairytale, part personal exorcism, with the eerie undercurrent of a lost scene from Mulholland Drive.

"sleek synth-pop, dreamy art-pop, and Y2K-inspired alt-pop." -KEXP

“an addictive slice of playful electronic pop” - FADER

"rich with introspection, offering an odyssey through burnout and ambition in a world always in flux." -ONES TO WATCH

“Pearly Drops’ most accessible affair.” -THE LINE OF BEST FIT

“As always, Pearly Drops’ indie disco most likely feels more tailor-made for the record bag of an imaginary DJ. Think of a foggy, empty, and dirty club with a strobe light tearing through the dark—kind of eerie, kind of intense.” -FLOOD MAGAZINE

“An album that knows exactly what it wants to be and achieves it effortlessly because of its own confidence.” -MXDWN
