We’re excited to share that Tapeworms are returning with their highly anticipated second album, Grand Voyage, out April 11th via Music Website and P-Vine Records (in Japan).
Inspired by the band's reflections on travel and the spaces in between, Grand Voyage explores the liminal space between reality and fantasy, weaving together elements of glitchy bitpop, shoegaze electrohouse, and dreamy synthpop. The album is a testament to the beauty of fleeting moments—capturing the sounds of train rides, airport terminals, and the emotional journey of self-discovery.
Their new single, "Playground," sets the tone with its mix of French Touch energy and early 2000s bitpop nostalgia. Shot entirely on mini-DV in Tokyo, the music video reflects the band’s exploration of childhood memories and the playful risks of youth.
